Biography

Nunes Tomás Mazivile (Mazivila) as he is affectionately called, was born on August 8, 1979, in Chicamba (Mazivila) and has a Master's degree, Bachelor's degree and Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management from the Pedagogical University. He is a Technical Advisor on SADC Transfrontier Conservation Areas. He worked at the National Administration of Conservation Areas representing the Administrative Authority (Ministry of Land and Environment) of the United Nations Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

He was successively an employee of the Ministries for the Coordination of Environmental Action (MICOA), Land, Environment and Rural Development (MITADER) and Land and Environment (MTA), where he gained experience in Public Environmental Management. As a state employee.

He was also a University Professor in the areas of Environmental Management; Environmental Impact Assessment; Socio-Environmental Projects, Water Resources Management and Natural Resources Economics, by the São Tomás de Moçambique University (USTM) and the Higher Institute of Economics, Management and Finance (ISGECOF) in Maputo.

He is experienced in Environmental Analysis, with a greater interest in Environmental Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Environmental Management, Biodiversity Conservation and Development of Environmental Management Systems.
